Mobile phone market is full and the biggest software company in the world is trying to get a foothold in a world haunted by iPhones and stalked Androids. Microsoft is planning to release its next version of the Windows Phone operating system 'Windows Phone 7' by October 2010. It is a different world since Microsoft launched it previous model of Windows Mobile.
Now 8 years old access email via mobile devices and hand-held devices are new PCs. Experts and tech geeks are calling Microsoft's move to slip into pockets a desperate one as brand loyalty is not going to make the new model sell. Delays made us see Microsoft coming up with Windows Mobile 6.5 and who knows what the once monopolizing giant wakes up. Here are some features of Windows Mobile 7.
The set comes with a new user interface, named as Metro and is said to be completely customizable. The links will be called 'tiles' and will take the user to important features like music, videos, email, office, and contacts. Windows Phone 7 will be coming up with a friendlier touchscreen interface than previous Windows Mobile devices by using multi-touch technology. Online services including integration with social medias Twitter, Facebook, and Windows Live will be included. The set will enable surfing via Internet Explorer Mobile. The rumored Xbox LIVE gaming experienced is also confirmed. Bing is going to be the exclusive search engine of Windows mobile, enhanced by voice search option using TellME. So hope we will be hearing more improvements and good news like Xbox Live and applications like Foursquare rolling soon.
